What was your reaction when you heard your name?
I somehow felt it was my day today and as the night progressed the belief continued getting stronger and here I am standing proud in the Top 3.
1x1 polls
To tell you a secret, 3 is my lucky number. It’s 30th today and it’s also my birthday, my room number is 3, I am contestant num 12 and I came 3rd... so in a way my lucky number worked for me and I have got the best birthday gift ever!
You have been juntas choice, what do you have to say about that?
I’m glad people have loved me. I would like to thank all of them for their love and support. I would try and my best to come up to their expectations and bring home the International crown. Trust me, I’ll never put them off. It is a great thing to have the power of people with you. And I am lucky I have that!
You have been a software engineer by profession, so how did this transition from being and engineer to a model come?
Miss India was something I always wanted to be. However at the same time, I have believed that education gives you a strong base. So, before trying my hands in the beauty arena I chose to complete my education and believe me I feel more confident, more mature and balanced with my education behind me.

Who has been your inspiration?
It has to be Lara Dutta. Be it the day she was crowned or her standing in the Bollywood, the lady has been inspiring me all the while. I love the way she carries herself, her poise on the stage and elegance on the screen... everything about her does a magic to me.
Since you one of the contenders for the PFMI Bollywood Diva title, do you see Bollywood as your next step?
Well, I won’t mind trying my luck in the Big industry, but right now my priority is the international crown, everything else takes a backseat till then. People have believed in me, it’s my time to do my dues and give them back.
Coming from a small town Dewas, was it tough to convince your parents?
I was born in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, but from past five years I have been living in Pune. As far as my parents are concerned, they have been very encouraging all the while. I found them standing beside me whenever I needed them and today I’m happy to make them proud.
What will be that one thing that helped you a lot in coming so far apart from your hard work?
I think meditation. It has helped me a lot in improving my concentration and confidence levels.
